Come out, Come out where ever you are?

This baby can't decide if he is coming or going. All day yesterday I was having painful contractions. When I went to the Dr. office yesterday afternoon they said that it looked like I was progressing into labor. The Dr. told me to go and walk and that if the contractions continued for an hour or more to go ahead and go to the hospital. Therefore, wanting to spend as much time as possible in the comfort of my own home, Aaron and I went home. At about 7:00 the contractions were 2-3 minutes apart so we went to the hospital. There they observed me and told us to start walking to move labor along. After two hours of walking it seemed that I was progressing well. They admitted me and Aaron and I kept walking off and on for hours. At 4:30 a.m., they checked me and I had stopped progressing. Then at 7:00 a.m. they decided that I would be much more comfortable at home. Since I had not eaten in over 14 hours and had hardly slept I decided that was a good idea. So here I am again, home and waiting for this baby to come. :) They said it could be hours, days or even a week before he is ready.

Getting Closer

Wow! We are only three weeks away from the due date! I think this time is really going to fly. Well, we measured my belly around today and I am 44 inches around. I am happy with that since at least I am still taller then I am around. :)

Tomorrow I go in and see the Doctor. I am sure they are going to tell me I still have some time before we get to meet baby Leniski.

I am so excited to see some posts from my students. I can't tell you how much I miss you all! I can't wait to bring in the baby and see you all.

We Made it Another Week

Now I am officially 36 1/2 weeks. I will be at 37 on Friday. That means the baby will be considered full term after Friday! I am feeling much better these days. I think staying home and taking it easy has really helped. I am now home for the rest of the school year. Aaron says I am now a say at home Mom for Lola (our dog). I really miss my students and can't wait to visit them after the baby is born.

Welcome to our Blog!

Aaron and I have now made 3 trips to the hospital. Baby Leniski wants out! The Dr. gave me a shot to stop the contractions and put me on bed rest again. Now I am home borred out of my mind awaiting our son's arrival. We are so excited to meet him and I am imagining him just as excited trying to get out of there.

I am now at 35 1/2 weeks and the Dr. is hoping that I hang on until 37. When I asked the Dr. to guess how much the baby weighed at this point she guessed 7 pounds! Since he is supposed to be gaining a pound a week I am very afraid of him making it to 40 weeks. That would put this little kingsman at a whopping 12 pounds!
